The Providence Landing project is located on a 140.5-acre parcel (Assessor Parcel Number 097-371-21) that is south of and adjacent to Vandenberg Village, and north of and adjacent to the Lompoc city limits. Regional access to the site is provided by Highway 1 (Lompoc-Casmalia Road). Major components of the proposed Providence Landing project include the development of 284 single-family homes; 72 units of low-income senior housing; and a 14.7-acre regional park. Other project components include proposed open space/greenbelt areas that would be located throughout the project site; two storm water retention/percolation basins that would be located in the southeast and southwest corners of the project site; and a proposed enterance facility/interpretive center for the Burton Mesa Ecological Preserve that would be located along the western portion of the project site.
