The Shady Canyon Development lies within the City of Irvine and is designated as Planning Area (PA) 22. The Irvine Company is the developer and is finalizing the land use and grading plans for the area. The development consists of 400 dwelling units, and 18-hole golf course, and related amenities. A portion of the domestic water to the development will be provided by the district's Coastal Zone IV system to the proposed reservoir. The subject IRWD reservoir and access road project is designed to provide domestic water service to these developments.
