Document Description
This project will remove sand and gravel fromt he dry streambed of Stony Creek near the town of Stonyford. Material will be moved by skimming from one foot above staked water line at a 2% slope, avoiding the existing riparian vegetation. The extraction will be up to 1,000 cy per year. A buffer zone of 10 ft will surround all vegetation. In the west portion of the bar, north of the channel, the gravel is in a district deposit that will be removed by starting at the district topographic gradient change and will match the final grade with the existing grade on either side of the gravel deposit.
