Document Description
The project proposes to upgrade the existing computer emergency power system. Scope includes installing (3ea.) 500 KVA/480V uninterruptable power supplies, (6ea.). 150 KVA 42 Pole Power Distribution Units, and (3ea.) Sealed Cell 12 minute Battery Backup Systems. The existing battery room will have the wet-cell batteries removed and be used for the new combination battery/UPS units. The existing 1500 kw generator will be connected to the new UPS units for enmergency backup. Two UPS units will carry all existing and future loads while the third UPS unit will be a backup unit operating through a transfer switch which will have the capacity to serve either UPS units load should it fail or be taken out of service.
