Document Description
Existing library facilities provide less than 30 percent of space standards for the number of enrollees. In addition, inadequate space is available for: computers to access information and multimedia; to provide small group study areas; and to provide adequate space for study, staff and materials storage. The library Technology Center, with a footprint of approximately 30,000 square feet, will include approximately 50,872 assignable square feet for laboratory space, office space, library space, audio visual/media space, faculty lounge, and computer service support. The builiding will have three levels, with a building height of 46 feet. The direct beneficiaries of the project include the students and staff of Monterey Peninsula College.
