Document Description
This project involves installation of an emergency telephone call box within Oceano Dunes SVRA at the northern boundary of the off road vehicle riding area. The purpose of this project is to provide for ease of visitor access to emergency services through the use of a remote, solar powered, wireless telephone. The site location is Mile Marker 2, approximately 50 ft. west of the Pismo State Beach Dunes Preserve fence line. The emergency call box will be mounted on a 6" x 18' galvanized metal pole. A 3' diameter x 6' deep hole will be dug in the sand. The base of the pole will be centered in the hole and approximately 1/4 yard of concrete poured around the base of the pole to act as a foundation base for the pole. Native sand fill removed during hole excavation will be back-filled around the pole to existing grade. The project site is a flat area of barren, open beach sand. No vegetation exists within approximately 200 feet of the site.
