Reasons for Exemption
Project is to repair/replace existing release gate structures, possibly repair outlet pipes and install staff gauge to monitor downstream releases and minimum pool elevations. The reservoir has been in existance since 1947 and no new construction activities will occur. The reservoir provides a permanent water source for indigenous fish and wildlife in a rather arid location. Actions taken by the State Water Resources Control Board will establish a minimum pool and prevent the reservoir being emptied for irrigation purposes. Project will have no significant effects.
