Based on the Town's review of the current General Plan, the fact that the State Office of Planning and Research's (OPR) General Plan Guidelines have changed considerably since the most recent comprehensive update of the Town General Plan (i.e., in 1983), new issues and community concerns, and other factors, the Town has proceeded with a comprehensive update of the General Plan. The proposed General Plan Update would involve several goal and policy revisions and additions and content additions to satisfy current OPR General Plan Guidelines; however, no changes to current land use designations are proposed.
