The project includes a proposed General Plan Amendment to change approximately 17 acres of a 23 acre parcel from Industrial (l) to Natural Resources Protection-Habitat, one dwelling unit per 40 acres (N-H-40), rezoning of the same area from the General Industrial District combined with the Design Review District, the Interim Mineral Resource District, and the Restrictive Flood District (M-DR-IMR-F-2) to the Habitat Protection District combined with the Interim Mineral Resource District and the Restrictive Flood District (HP-IMR-F-2) a proposed use permit for a gravel extraction operation for eleven years on 12 acres of the 23 acre parcel, and a reclamation plan to create wildlife habitat following the gravel extraction.
