Document Description
The project is located to adjacent Tiburon Boulevard in Tiburon and Belvedere, California. The City of Belvedere proposes a drainage diversion project to divert runoff away from Belvedere Lagoon to prevent future flooding. The project would direct stormwater runoff from the Reed School Watershed to Richardson Bay through a subsurface channel. A sedimentation basin (approximately 3,000 square feet) would be constructed approximately 500 feet east of Tiburon boulevard on Reed School property. Beginning at the newly constructed sedimentation basin, a 54" pipe would convert to a subsurface box culvert (2 feet x 8 feet) crossing below Tiburon Boulevard and continue parallel to Tiburon Boulevard and the pedestration path to Lagoon Road. Where Tiburon Boulevard turns toward the shore, the culvert would turn south, run beneath Lagoon Road and discharge into Richardson Bay. The existing sedimentation basin and drainage route to Belverde Lagoon would be maintained to catch overflow during periods of high runoff.
