Document Description
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection proposes to replace existing facilities at the San Luis Obispo Ranger Unit Headquarters. The proposed project would construct four facilities, an Administration and Emergency Command Center Building, an Apparatus Building, a Service Center and a 120' Radio Communications Tower. Heavy equipment maintenance functions now carried out in the Equipment Shop at the Headquarters site would be moved off site to Cuesta Camp which is located within the boundaries of Camp San Luis Obispo. Proposed site improvements include landscaping, additional on site parking, security lighting, and installation of a traffic signal equipped with a signal preemption device to facilitate safer emergency vehicle exiting onto State Highway 1
