Document Description
The project is the modification of an existing Major Use Permit. The project is currently permitted for an equestrian center that includes: stables for 80 horses, a hay barn, equipment barn, 3 hot walkers, 2 training rings with bleachers (3 were built), a jump ring, a breaking ring, training track, office and lounge and parking for 192 vehicles (only 13 were built, and the number is adequate for existing and proposed uses). The existing permit was issued in 1972 and amended in 1975. Changes have been made to the permit that are allowed by the permit and construction has taken place that is inconsistent with the approved plot plan. The following uses are proposed for the modification of this permit: 60 corrals (43 existing), RV/Boat storage for 255 vehicles (177 exist at this time and a new 78 space lot is proposed), a maintenance office and yard, a manure transfer station (to be relocated), a scout equipment storage area, a community cable TV antenna facility, a small decomposed granite borrow pit, additional training ring (existing), and horse trailer parking for 40.
