Document Description
The existing 10-acre Juan De Anza Elementary School site is located at 5234 West 120th Street, in Los Angeles County, California. The elementary school facility is approximately 37,000 square feet and serves 475 students, with a staff of 45. The existing school buildings are located on the northside of the site, oriented towards 120th Street. A parking lot with 46 parking spaces is located on-site between 120th Street and the school buildings. Access to the school site is provided by two driveways located on 120th Street, and one driveway located on Hindry Avenue, between 120th and 121st Streets. The project site is within a predominately urban residential area. Consequently, it does not support significant habitat resources or the presence of protected plant and animal species. Moreover, no historical, paleontological or archeological resources are known to occur on the project site or adjoining properties.
