Petitioner (Licensee) currently holds Water Right License 1723 (Application 6296) which authorizes diversion of 40 cubic feet per second (cfs) from Los Trancos Creek to offstream storage in Felt Lake Reservoir. The diversion season is from December 1 to May 1, and the maximum amount of water authorized is 900 acre feet (af) per annum. The water collected is conveyed to the place of water use, consisting of 8,246 acres located on the campus and adjacent property owned by the Petitioner. Water use consists of irrigation and domestic purpose. In 1995, Petitioner, in cooperation with the California Department of Fish and Game, California Trout and the County of Santa Clara, installed a fish ladder facility at the Los Trancos Creek diversion facility to help restore steelhead trout access to habitat upstream.
