Issuance of an order to remediate unsafe hazardous liquid waste storage, complete demolition of storage facilities, remove solid hazardous waste piles, and complete necessary remedial action to remove hazardous substances from the site. The order sets dates for specifice workplans to be submitted for the various physical activities and site investigations. A separate evaluation under CEQA of the potential for significant effects of these activities will occur prior to the approval of these workplans.

The project is an administrative order issued pursuant to Health and Safety Code 25355, et. al. The intent of the order is to eliminate risks to the public safety through eliminating the existing threats to environmental posed by this currently inactive facility that has not been properly closed. the order itself will not result in significant environmental impacts. Subsequent Workplans for physical activities at the site will be subject to separate CEQA of the potential for significant effects of these activities will occur prior to the approval of these workplans.
