PROJECT CONSISTS OF INSTALLATION OF NEW TRAIL SIGNS ALONG THE ONE-HALF-MILE NATURE TRAIL AT SAN PASQUAL BATTLEFIELD SHP. THE SIGN POSTS ARE 1 x 1 INCH SQARE AND WILL BE PLACED IN THE GROUND IN CONCRETE FOOTINGS AT A DEPTH OF 10 INCHES. NINE EXISTING POSTS WILL BE REPLACED, FIVE POSTS WILL BE ADDED IN NEW LOCATIONS, AND THREE EXISTING POSTS WILL BE REMOVED. AN ARCHAEOLOGIST WILL INSURE AVOIDANCE OF SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS TO CULTURAL REMAINS. NO POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT IMPACTS TO THE ENVIRONMENT IS ANTICIPATED.
