Document Description
Repair of a 660-foot segment of the existing 15-inch Crystal Springs Road Trunk sewer main. Project is proposed in order to repair damaged segment of pipeline and avoid potential collapse of pipeline crown and subsequent discharge to adjacent San Mateo Creek during wet-weather conditions. The repair would not alter trunk line capacity. The damaged segment is located within a dirt roadway adjacent to the San Mateo Creek channel. In order to minimize disturbance, repair will utilize trenchless pipe bursting to install a new pipeline segment between bore pits installed at existing manholes. Construction is anticipated to be limited to a 3 week period, and will include Best Management Practices to avoid sedimentation effects, as well as flagging and avoicance of vegetation.
