Conduct a prescribed burn of 320 acres of understory in Redwood/ douglas fir forest to reduce fuel loads, maintain forest seral stages, reestablish natural vegetation mosaics, and improve wildlife control. The prescribed burn area is roughly bordered by Maddocks Creek, Middle Ridge Road, and Opal Creek north of park headquarters.
