Document Description
1. Every person participating in hunting must obtain and possess a current year's hunting license (Section 700, Title14 CCR) 2. No person shall be issued a hunting license until he or she can demostrate knowledge and skill in hunting which ensures that the licensee meets Department-established standards of competency and proficiency in hunting and hunter safety. 3. Resident small game mammals that may be taken by hunting are the tree squirrels (western gray squirrel, Douglas squirrel, fox squirrel, and eastern gray squirrel), rabbits (brush rabbit, pygmy rabbit, desert cottontail, and Nuttall's cottontail) and hares (snowshoe hare, black-tailed jackrabbit, and white-tailed jackrabbit) (section 307 and 308, Title 14, CCR) ; and 4. There will be specific seasons, areas, bag limits, and methods of take for hunting
