The proposed project includes the expansion of the existing Sonoma Valley High School and the development of a new 6-8 Middle school. The site would comprise the present 32.2 acres of the current high school and an adjacent 23.6 acre parcel, formerly known as the Dolcini property. The objective of the project is to provide additional educational facilities to accommodate the current and anticipated furture student growth within the District. The proposed project would also enhance facilities that would be available for community use during non-school hours, The expanded high school would serve a maximum of 1,800 students. Proposed facilities would include a new classroom building, new gymnasium, pool, stage, additional athletic fields, and enlarged agricultural area. Parking would be increased on-site and a new bus drop-off would be constructed. The new middle school would provide facilities for a maximum 540 students that would comprise an administrative building, classrooms, multi-pupose room, nature area, turf playfield, parking and bus and parent drop-offs. Access to the two schools would be provided along with other infrastructure such as drainage facilities.
