Document Description
The project is an approximately 31,000-square foot community recreation center, with a multi-purpose gymnasium, locker rooms, fitness rooms, an indoor swimming pool, office and accessory support areas. No outdoor athletic facilities would be provided. The center will be a two-story structure with a maximum height of approximately 47 feet above finished grade. The YMCA is considering two locations for the facilty. One location is a vacant site on the east side of LIndero Canyon Road approximately 0.2 miles north of its intersection with Thousand Oaks Boulevard, and west of the existing golf course. The other location is a vacant site on a hill above the existing car wash on the north side of Thousand Oaks Boulevard, west of its intersection with LIndero Canyon Road.
