Document Description
Conditional Use to permit the construction of an approximately 60,000 square-foot church facility with a sanctuary, offices, multi-purpose building, retreat cabins, Sunday School, gymnasium, a 300-seat amphitheater, equestrian trails, playing field, 3 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts and a swimming pool on a 15.34 acre lot in the RA-1-K and A2-1 zones with 275 parking spaces. The church steeple will be 65-feet. Requesting completion of a previously initiated street vacation of Conover and Tujunga Valley Streets. Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with bible study on one weekend night. Retreat facilities will be available for overnight use by parishioners, full occcupancy of the facility will be expected one weekend per quarter. The gymnasium and other recreational facilities will be available to the parishioners and their families as desired. No grandstands, scoreboard or amplification will be provided that would promote the facilities for league or competitive play. The amphitheater will be occasionally used for outdoor prayer or other services. An encroachment permit for equestrian access within the Caltrans Foothill Freeway right-of-way may be required. this environmental clearance is applicable only to the above-described description. If any other uses are proposed a new Environmental Assessment Form must be filed.
