Document Description
The applicant is proposing a winery, tasting room, caretakers residence, and single family residence to be developed in seven phases over a period of up to ten years, beginning at 32,000 square feet with an ultimate build out of 450,000 square feet. The winery will perform all stages of wine production, with the first phase capable of processing up to 5,000 tons of grapes. Later phases of the project will increase production capability as well as add a tasting room, storage facilities, caretaker's residence, and single family residence to the site. The ultimate project will be capable of processing up to 35,000 tons of grapes annually. Facilities to treat winery waste water will also be phased in step with the increase in the size and production capabilities of the winery. The project is located on the west side of Mission Street, approximately 1/2 mile north of 20th Street, north of the community of San Miguel, in San Luis Obispo County.
