To convey sewage from the city to Olivehain Pump Station in the city of Encinitas, the City of Solana Beach has a pipeline crossing San Elijo Lagoon just east of I-5 within the Caltrans right-of-way. Replacement of a damaged 60-foot segment of 12 inch diameter sewer line with dual 10-inch high-density polyethylene pipes installed by directional drilling and construction of a below-grade flow control facility.
