IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT, AS AMENDED, THIS PROJECT IS EXEMPT FROM CEQA IN THAT IT WILL RESULT IN THE ADDITION OF SAFETY OR HEALTH PROTECTION TO THE EXISTING STRUCTURE (THE EXISTING BRIDGE ACROSS ELDER GULCH) WHICH IS SUBJECT TO EXEMPTION FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW PROCESS OF CEQA.
