Document Description
On August 17, 1999 and subsequently, September 29,1999, Safety-Kleen Systems, Incorporated, requested a Class I Permit Modification to the existing Hazardous Waste Facility Permit which was issued by the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DISC.) on June 30, 1993. This Class I Permit Modification requests a change of location of an oil/water separator, identified as "S-2" Tank. The use and installation of this oil/water separator has already been approved in the Class II permit Modification approval of June 9, 1999. The Class I Modification also involves piping changes in the photo imaging treatment area to allow off-site transportation of the non-hazardous wastewater. This non-hazardous wastewater was previously discharged to the City of Reedley's wastewater system and now as a result of the high salt content, should be transported off-site.
