A coastal development permit to correct an on-going violation resulting from the illegal fill of vacant land north of the existing Towing facility and immediately adjacent to the PALCO Marsh. The applicant proposes to retain the illegal fill and to grade the site to direct surface drainage towards the west to a new 12" high berm that will be constructed along the western property line to catch and carry surface drainage to a new 1200 gallon oil/water separator at the southwest corner of the fill area. A new 6' high chain link fence with slats will be installed along the west property line to create a barrier between the fill area and the Marsh. Based on information submitted with the application, there is no proposal for expansion of the existing Six Rivers Towing & Autobody, Inc. into the portion of the lot that has been filled. Expansion of the existing business will require a coastal development permit.
