Document Description
Application 30483 is for diversion to storage; Application 30484 is for direct diversion. Both use the same physical facilities and Points of Diversion (PODs) and are for the same Place of Use (POU), approximately 20 acres of proposed vineyard and nut trees. For diversion from Sage Creek (POD#1), the facilities include a 7.5-hp sump pump (discharge rate of 1 cfs) and about 800 ft of 5-in-diameter PVC pipe (total lift of approximately 80 ft to the reservoir). The use of POD#1 is dependent upon negotiating an agreement with the landowner for a right-of-way to access to Sage Creek. For diversion downstream slope to the spillway plus 4 ft of freeboard above the spillway, and the necessary piping to deliver water to the irrigation system. The maximum water depth would be 20 feet; the surface area when full would be about 1.5 ac. The dam will have an 8-in-diameter outlet pipe about 150 ft long at the level of the natural streambed. The estimated dead storage is 0.5 AF.
