Document Description
The Town Green project consists of a series of park, street and infrastructure improvements on two undeveloped parcels and minor street, parking, landscaping and infrastructure improvements on the already developed Library and Civic Center sites. The Town Green itself is proposed to be an approximately 4.5 acre public park and will include both natural park areas and more developed areas. The mature grove of native oaks that occupy the westernmost portion of the site will be preserved and enhanced with plantings of native species and construction permeable pedestrian paths and children's play area. The remaining portion of the park will have a more manicured landscape with paved walkways, a large lawn area, and shade trees. It will also include a series of structures and amenities including a pavilion, an arbor, a bandstand, a fountain, and other site amenities. The Town Green will be surrounded on by streets on four sides. Existing streets border the site on the east and north sides. New streets will be constructed on the south and west sides. Other associated infrastructure improvements include associated sewer, water, storm drains, and street lighting.
