Document Description
The City of Pittsburg is proposing to improve flood water management on Kirker Creek north of California Avenue to alleviate flooding at the State Route 4 / Loveridge Road interchange and in the neighborhoods and along roadways adjacent to Kirker Creek. The city is proposing to widen the creek channel; modify, replace, or supplement roadway and railroad bridges and culverts; construct a stormwater detention basin; and work with the Dow Chemical Company to design and construct a detention basin and wetland area on Dow property. Ultimately, the goal of the project is to provide a 100-year level of flood protection.
