Rehabilitation of the orchestra shell at the Hollywood Bowl and acoustical improvements. The goal of the proposed project is to maintain the Hollywood Bowl's design legacy as a curvilinear 1920's Modern icon of Los Angeles while providing County residents and visitors with a destination, state-of-the-art, outdor performance venue that achieves the best possible acoutical sound for the Bowl's performers while preserving the County's current investment in sound system equipment and balancing music, aesthetic, and design interests.
