The proposed project would include the construction of a 3-story approx. 75,000 gsf building on surface parking lot 32 in the Southwest zone of the UCLA campus, to temporarily accomodate the programs of various campus buildings that must be vacated while those buildings undergo seismic renovation. The project also includes seismic renovation of the Dickson Art Center and Dance Buildings in the Core zone of the UCLA campus. Initially, the proposed Southwest Campus Staging Building would accommodate programs from the Dickson Art Center and the Dance Building during their seismic renovation projects. Following the completion of those projects, the Southwest Campus Staging Building would be used to accomodate programs of other campus buildings proposed for seismic renovation.
