Document Description
The applicant proposes to construct several buildings, totaling roughly 59,000 square feet, to operate an Earth Science Research Center and school which will have an enrollment of up to 150 students in Phase 1, and up to 600 students at build-out, on a six (6) acre portion of a 150 acre site. This portion of the property is zoned R-SF , Single-Family Residential with the vast majority of the remaining portion of the site being zoned OS-C, Open Space Conservation. The campus area shall be comprised overtime, with five buildings housing a gymnasium, administrative offices, classrooms, and a "welcome center" . In addition to the building shall be associated parking (150 stalls), decorative walkways, and landscaped areas. The remaining portion of the site, located within the Mojave River riverbed area, shall be reclaimed, and returned to natural state for uses as a conservation study area.
