Document Description
The proposed project would revise the current Solid Waste Facility Permit (SWFP) to modify the operations of the Crazy Horse Sanitary Landfill (CHSL). The SWFP revisions would allow: (1) an increase in the permitted traffic volume to the site; (2) the stockpiling of imported soil at the CHSL site for daily cover uses; (3) an increase in the amount of daily waste intake tonnage authorized as a result of the pending closure of the Lewis Road Landfill, and the subsequent disposal needs for that waste stream; (4) the processing of Curbside Collected Yard Waste; (5) updates in the remaining site capacity and site life estimates; and (6) a change in the contract operator from Waste Management, Inc. to Norcal Construction and Engineering.
