Document Description
The project is located in Newport Beach along the east side of Upper Newport Bay. The project XX The proposed project will occur in two phases: earthwork and habitat restoration. A Restoration Ecologist (LSA) will ensure that all environmental permit requirements are met. In addition, the Restoration Ecologist will monitor the work and prepare the necessary reports specified in this HRPS. Monitoring will include all aspects of this project from site preparation (including grading) and installation to maintenance activities and long-term performance. The proposed corrective work will enhance the integrity of the slope for both the existing structures on the top of the slope (i.e., "Park Newport Apartments") as well as Back Bay Drive, a public roadway providing access to Upper Newport Bay Ecological Reserve, at the toe of the slope. The work is being proposed in the interest of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as to protect private property.
