Document Description
The proposed entails the construction of a 105,000 gsf building to provide modern instruction and research facilities for the Department of Bioengineering. The building will be four stories above grade with a basement level, oriented in a generally north-south direction. Mechanical equipment will be located on the roof. The building will include a mixture for wet laboratories, dry laboratories, office, administrative, and conference space and a vivarium. The project landscaping will consist of enhancing the existing ornamental landscape and hardscape along Warren Mall. The proposed building will be located in the north central portion of the UCSD main campus within Warren College area, which is the primary home of Engineering. The project will displace Pryatel Field, which will be accommodated through the renovation of the 9-acre Warren Field, located approximately 600 feet to the southeast of the project site.
