Document Description
To house students, staff and equipment during the remodel of the Life Science Building (2000 to 2000), 10 temporary classrooms and 7 lab preparation, storage and staff rooms of 1000 sq. feet each are being placed on the southeast portion of East Campus. All temporary rooms will be located landward of the East Campus Bluffs and seaward of the Campus Center and Humanties Building in existing level, developed areas. Eight rooms will be placed immediately southwest of the Humanities Builidings, 6 immediately north of parking lot 1B in the grassy area below the Campus Center, and 3 north of the Stadium just south of parking lot 1B. Grading and compaction will be to a depth of 12 to 18", and utilities in trenches to 30" in depth. A qualified archaelogist will be on-site during grading and trenching and all College LRDP archaelogical policies will be followed. Grading will start September 20, 1999 and temporary rooms will be placed on site October 1, 1999.

Ten temporary classroom structures and seven storage/staff structures will be placed on level (less than 10% slope) developed land to house students and staff during remodel of the Life Science building. All stuctures will be removed after the remodel is completed in 2001. Impacts are temporary and insignificant. Consistent wiith existing College planning policies (LRDP) a qualified archaelogist will be present during grading and utility trenching.
