Document Description
The project proposes to adjust/replace signal heads on the signal standard mast arms for both the north and southbound directions at the State Route 89 and Squaw Valley Road intersection. In addition, the reflective pavement marking located on the median and lane lines will be recessed. These depressed reflective markings will extend a minimum of 152.4 meters (500 feet) on the north and southbound approaches and 30.5 meters (100 feet) on the eastbound approach. The purpose of this project is to improve circulation, which is hindered during the winter months, due to reduced visibility of the turn lane and centerline. The project will benefit the people of California by improving the visibility of turn lanes during the winter months and the overall safety of the intersection.
