Document Description
The propose of the proposed project is to collect basic data on geologic structure. Project beneficiaries include the California Department of Water Resources, CALFED, and California water users. The proposed project will involve temporary trenching within alluvial deposits near the proposed Sites Damsite in Colusa County. Trenching will be accomplished at six locations using a tracked excavator. Trenching will occur between September 30, 1999 and October 31, 1999 during daylight hours only. The trench dimension vary at each location. Trench depths will range from five to forty feet in depth. Both ends of the trenches will be sloped at a 45 degree angle and the trenches will be covered with plywood covers when not in use.
