Document Description
This project would place the beam barrier in between the northbound and southbound lanes of State Route 99 in the location described above. The purpose of the project is to improve safety by reducing the possibility of cross median accidents. The placement of median barrier at the specified location benefits the people of California and visitors to the State by providing for safe and efficient modility of people, goods, services, and information.

This project is exempt under Class 1 of the State CEQA Guidelines (15301(c)) because it consists of the minor alteration of an existing public facility and involves no expansion of use beyond that previously existing. All conditions in the September 7, 1990 Programmatic Categorical Exclusion are satisfied.
