Document Description
The proposed project consists of approximately 14,000 linear feet of sanitary sewer pipe that would be used to convey municipal wastewater from the Milpitas Pump station to the headworks of the San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP). The proposed project would provide redundant sanitary wastewater capacity in the event of breakage or malfunction of the existing force main. When the capacity of the existing force main is achieved, the new parallel force main would provide additional capacity from the Milpitas Pump Station to the WPCP. An additional bore and construction of a 36-inch pipe casing for a future 24-inch extension of the South Bay Water Recycling Program's water distribution system is also proposed south of and adjacent to the parallel force main crossing of Coyote Creek.
