Document Description
The basic goal of the proposed San Bruno Specific Plan is to encourage investment and new development in the project area and promote a balanced, transit-oriented development that is economically and environmentally beneficial to the City of San Bruno. Development under the Specific Plan would primarily occur on properties to be vacated by the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps. This development would occur in two phases. Phase I consists of approximately 20 acres controlled by EFA West which are scheduled to be sold by Spring 2000 and expected to be fully developed by 2010. Phase II involves the 5.5 acres of land controlled by the U.S. Marines (the acreage being used by the U.S. Marine Corps is owned by the U.S. Naval Reserves) and several privately owned properties. The time frame for development of this phase is dependent on the relocation of the Marines for which no time frame has been determined.
