Document Description
The Napa-Vallejo Waste Management Authority proposes to change the final disposal site and mode of transportation of the solid waste from rail transport to truck transport from the Devlin Road Transfer Station. It also proposes to change transfer and disposal practices as follows: Truck-haul compacted solid waste from the Devlin Road Transfer Station to the Keller Canyon Landfill in Contra Costa County beginning in October 1999. Beginning in approximately March 2000, truck-haul compacted solid waste from the Devlin Road Transfer Station to the American Canyon Sanitary Landfill in Napa County on weekdays and Keller Canyon Landfill on weekends for approximately 6 to 9 months, or until capacity is reached at the American Canyon Sanitary Landfill. After capacity is reached at the American Canyon Sanitary Landfill, resume truck hauling all compacted solid waste from the Devlin Road Transfer Station to Keller Canyon Landfill.
