Document Description
CDFW is executing a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (SAA # 1600-2014-0066-R6) pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Imperial Irrigation District, represented by Ms. Jessica Lovecchio, 333 E. Barioni Boulevard, City of Imperial, State of California, 92251, Phone (760) 339-9703. The Applicant is proposing to remove approximately 250 linear feet of vegetation from both banks of the Alamo River from the Garst Road Bridge over the Alamo River eastward to the United States Geological Survey (USGS) monitoring station. The purpose of the project is to improve measurement quality of the measurements recorded from the USGS monitoring station. Vegetation will be removed by excavator filled with a "claw" attachment working from dirt access roads located on top of the banks of the Alamo River. Removed vegetation will be piled along the side of the roads that are away from the river. A total of 0.57 acres of temporary impacts to jurisdictional streambed will result from the cosntruction activities.
