The project is a grant to the County of Inyo Water Department to partially fund saltcedar removal consistent with the Inyo County Saltcedar Control Program, a long-term, comprehensive program to control and possibly eradicate saltcedar (also known as tamarix) from portions of the Owens Valley on land owned by the City of Los Angeles.
