Document Description
The City proposed Project will replace the previously existing concrete rectangular semi-buried Clearwell-2 and its associated pipelines and appurtenances. The Project construction area is 6.5 acres within the MWTP property immediately south of Miramar Lake and within the Scripps Miramar Ranch Community Plan area. The previously existing Clearwell-2 has been removed and at 1.95 MG, it was of greater capacity than the proposed facility. The new Clearwell-2 and the overall project will serve both current and project populations. The proposed new 29.5-MG Clearwell-2 reinforced concrete storage facility will be constructed with 391' x 420' dimensions and at approx. 26-28' depth with hopper bottoms and a 1V:3H slope. Approximately 75% of the project site will be graded within a 712-720 ft elevation range to slope away from the clearwells and buildings in all directions. Staging for the project will be located within the MWTP property fence line. Land adjacent to the project site includes Miramar Lake recreation Area to the north, Scripps Ranch Library and Miramar Ranch Elementary School to the south, and commercial, industrial and residential areas to the west.
