Document Description
Five land use actions are proposed, including: A) An update of the city's Urban Development Boundary (UDB) from the current UDB encompassing 1,411 acres to a new UDB that includes about 1,846 acres. This would increase the UDB by about 435 acres. The UDB is the city's 20-year growth boundary; B) An update of the City's Urban Area Boundary (UAB) from the current UAB containing 2,475 acres to a new UAB that includes about 2,915acres. This would increase the UAB by about 440 acres; C) Annexation of one 36-55 acre site into the city. This site is located along the south side of State Highway 198 and the east side of Farmersville Boulevard. This area is proposed as a focus for future industrial development in Farmersville; D) A General Plan land use amendment applying land use designation(s) to portions of the area being included in the expanded UDB/UAB, and; E) A zone change applying city zoning to the site being annexed.
