Document Description
The proposed project involves the development of a 30-acre parcel of land located south of Chambers Street and east of Lyon Avenue. A new middle school would encompass 20 acres of the site. The school would house 1,485 students in grades 6-8, with facilities covering 95,000 square feet. The proposed school includes 55 classrooms, food service kitchen, multi-purpose, library, administration and subsidiary facilities. Play areas surrounding the school will include hard court and grassfields, with no lighted athletic fields being anticipated. The remaining 10 acres of the site would accommodate a potential new elementary school. The elementary school would serve 750 students in 30 classrooms. The school would include administration, library, multi-purpose and subsidiary facilities.
