The project site is designated Flood Control / Construction Aggregates in the General Plan. The zoning of the property is O (Open Land) District. The present land use of the property consists of approximately 18 acres if disturbed land for aggregate product stockpiles and a hual road for large off-road trucks used to deliver aggregate material mined from an adjacent quarry to the east (Redlands Aggregate Pit) to the Orange Street Processing Plant for processing which is located to the west of the project site. The remaining 42 acres are undisturbed natural open space/habitat.
Document Description
The project is a conditional use permit for a Reclamation Plan encompassing 60 acres known as the Johnson Pit South Quarry. The Reclamation Plan is submitted for the project site in accordance with Section 2770(b) of the State Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA) and in accordance with Chapter 18.226 of the Redlands Municipal Code.
