Present Land Use
Installation of six 90-foot tall light standards on the northern half of the Intramural Athletic Field. The project would include pedestrian and vehicular safety improvements to adjacent on-campus sidewalks and roadways.
Document Description
The project will construct a two-level underground parking structure with approximately 1,500 parking spaces beneath the Intramural Athletic Field in the Central zone of the UCLA campus. When the parking structure is complete, the Intramural Athletic Field will be restored on top and six 90-foot light standards will be installed on the northern half of the field. The project will also provide pedestrian and vehicular safety improvements to adjacent on-campus sidewalks and roadways. The project amends the 1990 UCLA Long Range Development Plan to transfer 3,600 gross square feet from the Southwest zone of the campus to the Central zone to accommodate storage space associated with the project. Construction is expected to last approximately 24 months beginning in the Spring of 2001, and ending in the Spring of 2003.
